Officer Tries to Trespass Journalist – Sergeant Corrects Him #shorts

Recording a First Amendment audit at the DRDC prison facility. A corrections officer attempted to call the police on a citizen journalist for documenting transparency from a public space.

When the police arrived, the officer on scene tried to trespass the journalists, but the men held their ground and requested a supervisor. The Sergeant professionally educated the officers on the right to film in public, upholding constitutional rights and government accountability. It is vital to know your rights when documenting public officials in the line of duty.
