In this Episode of Throwback Thursday, we’re revisiting Lakeside Police, a department longtime viewers of this channel know all too well.

After an earlier audit brought unwanted attention, Lakeside’s response wasn’t transparency – it was escalation. A judge drafted an order attempting to ban recording in the public lobby of the town hall and court. Despite that, we entered peacefully and documented what followed.

This video captures the second visit to Lakeside, where officers threatened arrest over lawful activity and four different law enforcement agencies were called in over people taking pictures in a public building.

The timing matters. One of the Lakeside police sergeants involved in past interactions has since been terminated following a time-clock misconduct investigation involving off-duty private security work.

This is a look back at how overreach ages, how accountability eventually catches up, and why public oversight matters.
